I’ve had this mixtape in my inbox for a week now but kept forgetting to post it up. I first came across this London artist Shakka when he was supporting Jesse Boykins III at Bloomsbury Ballroom, something about his funny eccentric stage presence makes his performances stick in your mind. There was this one song ‘Lovely Jubbly’, it’s so smooth and as I write this post all I want to do is hop out of my seat and move to the beat ‘Ba da bing ba da boom!’. After numerous listens of his latest mixtape ‘The Shakka Crown Affair‘, I still don’t know what genre his music fits into. It’s R&B, it’s soulful, a little jazzy and most of all, it’s really fun and easy to listen to. Feel good music! Ya’ll need to hop on after the cut and give it a listen.

‘Shakka Crown – alike Thomas Crown – a billionaire bored of his riches, steals a priceless music artifact from The London Wiltshire Museum.
He doesn’t sell them off though.
He just did it for kicks.
And now he wants to make new art, from classics?
How?’
Honestly love the concept behind the mixtape and all the skits are actually funny. The only other artist who has used skits to his advantage is Kanye West.
