Merry Christmas from Joy Orbison

Way back when, Joy Orbison put together a mix tape as good as it was confusingly named. A timeless blend of soul classics mixed in seamlessly with modern jams from the likes of Floating Points, BSRKR01 was and still is one of my favourite mixes, and until now it was the only studio mix that Joy Orbison, or Joy O as he is now flying under, had made. Only a few days ago he released a new mix to celebrate the starting of his new label, Hinge Finger, which he is starting with the graphic designer and founder of The Trilogy Tapes project, Will Bankhead, and this mix could not be any more different – a 1 hour 8 minute journey of house music, from old piano jams to unreleased gems from the likes of Boddika and Joy O himself.
